We are looking to fill an ATE Test Development Engineer who has worked on:

Experience: 4+ years of experience

Working location: Penang/Philippines/India. There may be a need for occasional travel to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, or the U.S.

Job Description

• We are seeking a (ATE) Test Development Engineer 2 to join our team for a project focused on migrating automated test equipment (ATE) test programs.
• The primary responsibility will be to migrate existing test programs from various platforms (Teradyne J750, ETS 88, and Teradyne Microflex) to the NI STS platform.
• This is a position with the potential for travel.
• Apart from test program migration, the following might be included based on requirement:
• Test program update to match test specification modification.
• Develop ATE test programs - For wafer sort and final test package
• Develop and maintain characterization programs
• Drive FA and debug activities for digital/analog failures in ATE test program
• Custom test method development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and migrate full test programs from source platforms (Teradyne J750, ETS 88, Teradyne Microflex) to the target NI STS platform.
• Rewrite test methods and adapt test flows for the new NI STS environment.
• Utilize C# as the primary programming language for new test programs.
• Analyze and adapt existing source code written in C++ and other languages.
• Perform statistical data analysis using tools to ensure proper test program correlation.
• Work with various device types, including op-amps, converters, and complex System-on-Chips (SOCs).
• Collaborate remotely with team members and maintain communication regarding project progress.
• Also the following based on requirement:
• Drive automation and test optimizations to reduce test cost, enhance product quality, improve manufacturing efficiency, and accelerate manufacturing stability.
• Develops and debugs complex test program development efforts to convert input requirements.
• Tests, validates, modifies, and redesigns automation requirements to guarantee application to specification.
• Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• With minimum 4-7 years of industry experience in IC Test, or equivalent field.
• Strong experience in semiconductor test engineering and practices.
• Proficiency in C++/C# is essential.
• Solid understanding of test program development and debugging.
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis for test correlation (e.g., SPCM, CPK).
• Familiarity with test instrumentation and the ability to work with various hardware platforms.
• Experience with op-amps, converters, and complex SOCs.
• Good coding and debugging / problem solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with both Teradyne (J750, Microflex, ETS 88) and NI STS platforms.
• Familiarity with statistical data analysis SAS tools such as JMP.
• Knowledge of scripting languages in addition to C++ and C#.
