You will be working as Local division SCM Manager at global grade 12 and will be part of Large Motors & Generators Business Area for Motion Division based in Vadodara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Regional Division Manager. You will be responsible for Leading a team of procurement specialists to execute sourcing, purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Ensure execution in accordance with Company and Supply Chain Management (SCM) instructions, procedures and policies. Have full accountability for local division spend and cost development for direct materials, indirect materials & services, and logistics.


Your responsibilities


Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and region-al/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy to ensure that sup-pliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensures all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly. Ensuring alignment between local and global SCM activities. When managing specific projects, collaborates with proposal, project, and category teams to determine necessary items for procurement during the project. Develops schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets to support project procurement process. Ensure the right supplier selections and develop actively multiple source supplier portfolio according to business needs. In accordance with Group SCM guidelines and local Division/Business Unit objectives, implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities and purchased material inventory). Secures full utilization of SAP ARIBA global supplier relationship management platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding exist-ing high performing suppliers to ABB.


Your background


Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with more than 10 years’ experience in supply chain management & minimum 3 plus years in line manager experience Knowledge in order management on SAP creation of full cost models and RFQ management and having exposure to various ERP tools - SAP Ariba Knowledge of Large Motors and Generators will be an added advantage. Strong, well-developed communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills. Commercial focus and solid understanding of business dynamics as well as product cost elements.
