Quality Assurance Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing*

As our Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Monitoring and ensuring the quality of our products across the entire supply chain – from EMS suppliers (Electronics Manufacturing Services) to suppliers of purchased parts, as well as logistics for material intake, packaging, and shipment of our in-house manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance for EMS Suppliers: Monitor production quality and process adherence at EMS providers, especially concerning electronic assemblies and manufacturing equipment.; Conduct regular supplier audits and inspections to ensure compliance with production standards and quality requirements.
  • Quality Assurance for Purchased Part Suppliers: Ensure the quality of purchased parts (mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical components) through regular supplier assessments and audits; Monitor quality requirements based on part specifications in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Procurement at HQ.
  • Quality Assurance in Logistics Warehouse (Material Intake, Packaging, and Shipping): Oversee and ensure the quality of material intake, including quality support for incoming goods inspections to ensure conformity of incoming materials and components.
  • Interface Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with HQ departments (Quality, Procurement, Logistics, Production, and Development) to align and monitor quality requirements throughout the supply chain (Suppliers EMS).
  • Failure Management and Root Cause Analysis: Perform error analyses (FMEA, 8D Report, Root Cause Analysis) and develop corrective and preventive actions for continuous quality improvement at both EMS suppliers and the PULS India location.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain QM documentation, inspection plans, quality reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously monitor the quality performance of suppliers, EMS, and PULS India; Report quality metrics to management and provide regular updates on supplier quality and improvement progress.
  • BIS Approval: Ensuring market access and compliance with Indian regulations for electrical products under the BIS Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS).

Expected Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent).
  • Professional experience in quality management, particularly in quality assurance of electronic and electromechanical components, and collaboration with EMS providers.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management methods (e.g., FMEA, 8D Report, Root Cause Analysis) and conducting supplier audits.
  • Knowledge in certification management, especially for the Indian market and electrical products.
  • Understanding of Indian market requirements and collaboration with testing bodies
  • Experience in quality inspection of electronic assemblies and components, and familiarity with common quality standards (ISO 9001, IPC standards).
  • Familiarity with logistics processes, especially material intake inspection, packaging, and shipping.
  • Fluent in English in writing and speaking.
  • Project management and economic thinking
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-departmentally and coordinate quality requirements effectively.
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
