This position will play a pivotal role in managing and driving the financial health and strategic risk management of the organization, with a core focus on the edible oil manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with substantial expertise in financial management, risk mitigation, and credit risk management. They will oversee financial planning, regulatory compliance, credit management and provide insights to guide decision-making at the executive level. 


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to meet organizational goals.
  • Deliver strategic financial insights and analytics to support executive decision-making and business growth.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including credit, operational, and market risks.
  • Establish robust internal controls and risk mitigation frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Continuously monitor industry and market conditions to identify emerging risks and recommend proactive strategies.

Forex and Treasury Operations:

  • Strategically manage foreign exchange exposures, ensuring optimal hedging and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and capital requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement financial strategies for investments, working capital, and currency management.

Cost Optimization:

  • Develop and implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to align expenditures with budgets and forecasts.

Industry Expertise:

  • Stay abreast of trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting the edible oil sector, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership on the financial implications of market developments.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Drive succession planning and upskilling initiatives within the finance team.

ERP Implementation and Optimization:

  • Assist the deployment and enhancement of ERP systems to improve financial reporting, risk management, and operational efficiency.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • 15+ years of proven financial management experience, ideally in the edible oil, FMCG, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong expertise in risk management frameworks, internal controls, and compliance.
  • Understanding in foreign exchange operations, including hedging and currency risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and corporate governance.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across departments.
