Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Guide the team through technical challenges, ensuring adherence to best practices and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • AWS Data Solutions: Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data solutions on AWS, leveraging key services such as AWS Data Lake, S3, Redshift, Athena, and other relevant AWS data technologies.
  • Data Modelling and ETL Processes: Develop and optimize data models and ETL processes. Implement data warehousing solutions, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
  • Python Development: Utilize Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis. Develop high-quality, maintainable code for various data applications and automation tasks.
  • Data Integration and Pipeline Management: Build and manage data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration from various sources into AWS environments. Maintain data integrity, consistency, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, implementing performance improvements as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand needs and deliver effective data solutions.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest developments in data engineering, AWS cloud services, and Python programming. Implement best practices and emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud services.
  • Proven expertise in Python programming for data tasks.
  • Strong expertise in AWS data technologies, including AWS Data Lakehouse, S3, Redshift, Athena etc.
  • Proven experience in working with applications built on microservices architecture.
  • Extensive experience with ETL and Data Engineering tools and processes, particularly within the AWS ecosystem including AWS Glue, Athena, AWS Data Pipeline, AWS Lambda etc.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and projects, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and team development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience: 6+Years
