The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process for products, systems, or services within the organization. This role ensures that the organization's products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The QA Lead will manage a team of QA engineers, define testing strategies, and ensure effective quality processes are in place throughout the product lifecycle. The QA Lead works closely with development, product, and operations teams to ensure that quality is integrated into every stage of the production process.


Location: Madhya Pradesh. (Expected to travel and be stationed across various States in India as per project requirement)

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles. Out of which 5 Years experience as Test Lead.

 

Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the QA team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, ensuring alignment with company goals and quality standards.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the QA team based on individual strengths and project needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving any challenges they may encounter.

Quality Assurance Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for products and services.
  • Define, document, and ensure adherence to QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed test plan that includes testing objectives, resource requirements, and timelines.

Test Management & Execution:

  • Oversee the development and execution of test cases, test scripts, and test plans for both manual and automated testing.
  • Manage the execution of functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensure that all defects are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize testing efforts based on project timelines, business requirements, and risk factors.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Introduce new tools, technologies, and techniques to optimize the quality assurance process.
  • Lead initiatives to automate testing where feasible, reducing manual effort and increasing test coverage.
  • Analyze root causes of defects and collaborate with teams to improve product quality and development processes.

Quality Metrics & Reporting:

  • Define key quality metrics and monitor them throughout the project lifecycle to assess product quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular status reports on quality metrics, testing progress, and defect trends to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation of test results, defects, and testing processes for auditing and traceability purposes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes into the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning and review meetings, providing input on the testing scope and requirements.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the product development and release process.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify quality risks early in the development process and collaborate with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address any quality issues or bottlenecks that may arise during testing, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support product and project teams in managing customer-facing issues related to product quality.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product quality, including ISO, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and trends to ensure that the QA function evolves to meet new challenges.


Skills Required:

·       Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing QA teams.

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex systems and identify defects.

·       Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java, or similar).

·       Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

·       Ability to think critically and strategically about quality improvements and process optimization.

 

Qualification:

•          Minimum BE/ B.Tech/ MCA/M.Tech/ MSc. in Computer Science/ Electronic & Communication Engineering /IT.

•          Minimum overall 8 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance roles. Out of which 5 Years experience as Test Lead.

•          Testing experience in Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.

•          Prior experience working on Financial Management System IT projects.

•          Automated tool-based testing Experience.

•          Experience in Security, Performance, Load Testing.

•          Certifications in Quality Assurance or Testing (e.g., ISTQB, Six Sigma, CSTE).

•          Fluency in English and Hindi (Speaking, reading & writing).
