About Role
KPMG’s Business Consulting team is hiring for Senior Consultant and/or Manager level candidate, with 5-8 years of experience, specialising in electric mobility and urban mobility solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in electric vehicle (EV) strategies, charging infrastructure, and upstream power infrastructure, with a strong understanding of various vehicle categories (e.g., two-wheelers, public transportation, commercial vehicles). You will play a key role in developing and executing innovative strategies, advising stakeholders, and driving projects that contribute to sustainable mobility and energy transition.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients, including government ministries, public sector departments, development banks, donor agencies, and corporates. As a part of our team, you will deliver high-quality projects, manage key stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the growth of the firm in the electric mobility and urban mobility sector.
Some of the key responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:
- Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of electric mobility and urban mobility strategies for clients, focusing on vehicle electrification, charging infrastructure, and upstream power integration.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with client objectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ministries, government departments, donor agencies, and development banks. Communicate effectively to align stakeholder goals and drive consensus in complex, politically sensitive environments.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Advise clients on market entry, scaling strategies, and partnership opportunities in the electric mobility sector. Develop customised solutions that address unique challenges in various vehicle categories and urban mobility systems.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Leverage strong analytical skills to interpret market trends, forecast EV adoption, assess infrastructure needs, and provide actionable insights for clients. Utilise advanced tools to develop visualisations and scenario analyses that support decision-making.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the firm’s knowledge base by developing white papers, thought leadership articles, and case studies in electric mobility and urban mobility. Share insights on emerging technologies and regulatory developments that impact the mobility ecosystem.
- Client Relationship Management: Ensure client satisfaction through consistent engagement and delivering projects that exceed expectations. Focus on building long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and new opportunities.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance on project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and professional development. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate / Post-graduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or a related field from a reputed institution.
- Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in electric mobility, urban mobility, or related sectors such as power infrastructure or renewable energy. Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electric vehicle technologies, charging infrastructure planning, and upstream power requirements. Experience working with different vehicle categories (e.g., public transport, two-wheelers, commercial fleets) is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Highly proficient in conducting market analysis, scenario planning, and forecasting EV adoption. Ability to present complex data and insights through advanced tools and visualisation techniques.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Able to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences, including government officials and senior stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record in working with senior stakeholders such as government ministries, development banks, and donor agencies. Experience navigating political sensitivities and influencing decision-making processes.
