Role Overview:


As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of 10-12 professionals, overseeing complex tax return preparation, SMSF, and bookkeeping tasks. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely delivery of services, resolving queries, and ensuring zero errors in all deliverables. Additionally, you will provide training and mentorship to new team members and contribute to workflow improvements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a team of 10-12 members in the areas of Tax Return Preparation, SMSF, and Bookkeeping.
  • Oversee and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.
  • Review bookkeeping, BAS, and IAS reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring timely responses to queries and ensuring the smooth delivery of services.
  • Train new joiners and provide ongoing mentorship to team members.
  • Provide strategic guidance to improve workflows, communication, and team performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Experience: 2-3 years in Australian accounting outsourcing, specifically in tax preparation, SMSF, and bookkeeping.
  • Leadership: Previous team handling and review experience.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while managing a high volume of tasks.
  • Client-Centric: Proven ability to manage client relationships and resolve queries promptly.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on delivering error-free work, even under tight deadlines.
