Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales background who understands the basics of the startup ecosystem and business terminology. The primary responsibility of the Sales Specialist is to identify, approach, and onboard companies in need of funding, guiding them through the VentureUp platform and setting them up for success.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, tracking engagement and conversion rates.
  • Conduct in-depth conversations with company leaders, assessing their needs and explaining how VentureUp can assist them in securing funding.
  • Guide companies through the onboarding process, providing detailed support and fostering strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage resources for lead generation and brand outreach.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, funding opportunities, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on basic startup and funding concepts, answering potential clients’ questions with ease and confidence.


Skill Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on client acquisition, relationship building, and closing deals.
  • Basic knowledge of the startup ecosystem and familiarity with business and funding terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Passion for startups and a strong drive to help businesses grow and succeed.
