We are a Series C funded start-up backed by some of the marquee investors like Naver, Goodwater Capital, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners and others.About the role:The Tech Lead is responsible for managing the specifications, design, and development of large-scale, Internet-based applications. In this role, you will work as a leading member of the Product Development team to manage the delivery of scalable, high performance solutions for transaction-intensive web applications and services.What You Will Be Doing:Manage Specification, design, development, code reviews design review, and debugging of scalable and high-performance service-based web applicationsProvide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levelsManage and/or mentor junior and senior team members of the development teamSpearhead evaluation and research of the latest technologies and actively participate in architectural decisionsCoordinate application development projects and production issues with Product Management, Quality Engineering, and Application Support teamsReview work of the development team to ensure coding standards and best practices are being followed. Also, ensures applications meet performance and security requirementsHelp continuously improve the software development life cycle processes usedAssist in recruiting efforts for development as well as other teams in the Technology departmentGive performance evaluations and reviews to supervised employeesProvide technical guidelines for design and development when neededPerformance evaluations and reviews with supervised employeesMake decisions that help to evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed.What You Will Need for this Position:B. Tech/B.E. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent6+ years of relevant software development and/or project management experience, in a professional environmentAt least 2-3 years of management/leadership experience in a global software development organizationPrior hands-on experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market and Experience in Python or GolangExperience understanding business strategy and how it aligns with technologyStrong understanding of the software development cycleStrong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skillExperience solving complex and large-scale software problems maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projectsWillingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part ofAbility to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things doneSelf-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are a mustExcellent oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels in the organizationMust be articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-changing entrepreneurial environment.
