Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in machine learning and forecasting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building, maintaining, and improving demand forecasting models specifically for apparel and fashion brands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve machine learning models for demand forecasting in the apparel and fashion industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and business analysts, to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Monitor model performance, adjust parameters, and improve accuracy and efficiency based on real-time data and feedback.
  • Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights, trends, and recommendations that drive business decisions.
  • Create automated, scalable, and efficient processes for model deployment and updates.
  • Stay updated on the latest machine learning algorithms, tools, and techniques, applying relevant advancements to ongoing projects.


Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years focused on machine learning-based forecasting.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in demand forecasting for apparel, fashion, or retail industries is a must.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting methods such as ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, etc.
  • Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis tools like SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large datasets and build data-driven models that optimize business processes.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to present complex models and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
