Key Responsibilities:


Technical Due Diligence:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of project designs, engineering plans, and technical specifications.
  • Assess the feasibility and robustness of proposed construction methodologies and materials.
  • Evaluate project schedules, budgets, and financial models to ensure realistic and achievable targets.


Construction Monitoring:

  • Perform regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks and delays, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Document and report on construction activities, providing detailed progress updates to stakeholders.


Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Identify and evaluate technical, financial, environmental, and safety risks associated with the project.
  • Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on the project.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations and standards.


Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Identify and report quality control procedures, including material testing and inspection of workmanship.
  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any issues related to quality and compliance.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between lenders, project developers, and construction teams.
  • Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive reports to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and final evaluations (LIE Status report and LIE Subsequent reports) on time and as per schedule.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved in the project.


Financial acumen:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and understand project financial statements, schedules and any related financial documents.
  • Ability to thoroughly identify, evaluate and align project physical progress vs financial progress.
  • Work closely with chartered accountants and bankers to provide necessary technical input.


Qualifications and certifications:

  • Bachelors/masters degree in engineering.
  • Any additional qualifications in business studies.
  • IBBI qualifications or willing to get an IBBI qualification would be an added advantage.


Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, construction management, or project management. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.


Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.


Work Environment:

A combination of office-based work and on-site inspections. Frequent travel to project sites.
