Job Description:

Our Client is a leading Pune based Real Estate Developer looking for a dynamic and experienced EHS Head/Manager to join our esteemed real estate development firm based in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices across our projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and promoting a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Lead EHS training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate EHS considerations into planning and execution phases.
  • Monitor environmental impact assessments and ensure mitigation measures are effectively implemented.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and maintain all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMIOSH) would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience 7-15 years in EHS management within the real estate or construction industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
