The organization is a worldwide leader in insurance technology and is currently searching for a Desktop Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. This role will be responsible for building out and maintaining our end-user computing. The role will have a heavy focus on automation and utilization of cloud-based technologies to manage our endpoints. Essential Functions


Architect and Design:

* Develop and implement end-client architecture solutions based on industry best practices.

* Design, configure, and optimize Windows and macOS environments to meet organizational needs.

* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for client architecture designs.


Technology Expertise:

* Proficient in macOS operating system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.

* Extensive experience with Kandji or JAMF Pro for macOS management and deployment.

* In-depth knowledge of SCCM and Intune for Windows client management.

* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to end-client environments.


Security and Compliance:

* Implement security best practices in end-client environments.

* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

* Troubleshooting and Support:

* Provide advanced support for end-client architecture-related issues.

* Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.


Financial Responsibilities:

* Provide quotes for purchasing related software/solutions.

* Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team.

* Completing projects within the designated time frame

* Comply with all policies and procedures defined by Change Management.

* Complete Organization projects and change requests according to schedule, minimizing or eliminating human error, downtime, or financial concessions.

* Reported issues are managed in a timely, efficient manner with appropriate escalations internally across teams and functions.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* 5 years of proven experience as an End Client Architect, Desktop Engineer, or similar role.

* Strong expertise in macOS, JAMF/Kandji, SCCM, and Intune, including:

* OS Provisioning

* Patch management

* SW/OS update packaging and deployment

* Mac OS troubleshooting

* Windows 10/11 troubleshooting

* Experience with Intune/AAD/O365.

* knowledge & experience with enterprise networks, wired & wireless networking.

* Experience with documentation for client architecture designs and processes.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
