Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong skills in Python, Airflow, SQL, and cloud services, with dbt experience as a plus. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and workflows. You’ll work closely with data analysts and engineers to ensure seamless data processing and integration into our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and SQL.
- Work closely with data analysts and engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.
- Implement automation and scheduling of ETL/ELT processes using Airflow.
- Optimize SQL queries and database performance for efficient data processing.
- Develop scalable and maintainable data workflows for real-time and batch data processing.
- Use Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation tasks.
- Collaborate on data modeling efforts and support the overall data architecture.
- Leverage dbt (if experienced) to manage and transform data models efficiently.
- Integrate and optimize cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable data storage, processing, and workflow orchestration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and integration tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation and orchestration.
- Expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage, processing, and pipeline orchestration.
- Familiarity with dbt (nice to have) for data modeling and transformation.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Knowledge of modern data processing architectures in the cloud.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
