Job Role - Program Manager - Metals & Mining - PDS
Job Location - Pune
Job Summary :
We are seeking a Program Manager to lead our Metals and Mining Analytics initiatives, focused on operational optimization in industries like Steel, Aluminum, and Cement. This role demands strong expertise in industrial operations, analytics, and program management to ensure the successful delivery of advanced data-driven solutions for our global clients.
Essential Duties and Key Competencies:
• Program Leadership:
o Drive end-to-end programs focused on applying advanced analytics for metals and mining operations.
o Define and execute strategies to achieve operational excellence and cost optimization for clients. o Ensure the timely and quality delivery of analytics-driven projects.
• Analytics Solution Design:
o Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to develop analytics models for process optimization, predictive maintenance, and energy efficiency.
o Lead the development of use cases for operations improvement, such as yield enhancement, quality prediction, and energy optimization.
• Industry Expertise:
o Leverage knowledge of steel, aluminum, and cement operations to address complex industrial challenges.
o Understanding of blast furnace, aluminum smelting, Cu, Zn smelting processes o Identify opportunities to apply analytics and digital solutions to solve operational bottlenecks.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work closely with clients to understand operational pain points and design tailored analytics solutions.
o Present actionable insights and project outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
Team Management and Development:
o Lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and subject matter experts.
o Mentor and develop team members to build expertise in metals and mining analytics.
• Innovation and Optimization:
o Introduce cutting-edge tools and technologies, such as AI/ML, digital twins, and IoT, to optimize operations.
o Continuously improve analytics models to enhance accuracy and scalability.
• Operational Excellence:
o Define and monitor KPIs to measure the impact of analytics solutions on operations.
o Ensure alignment of analytics initiatives with client business objectives.
• Domain Expertise:
o Strong understanding of process operations in Steel, Aluminum, and Cement industries.
o Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, equipment, and performance metrics for metals and mining.
• Analytics and Data Science:
o Familiarity with analytics tools like Python, R, and MATLAB. o Experience with AI/ML applications such as predictive maintenance, process optimization, and digital twins.
o Knowledge of IoT and sensor-based data for operational insights.
• Leadership and Collaboration:
o Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex programs.
o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for engaging with clients and executives.
• Project Management:
o Expertise in managing large-scale analytics programs with strict timelines and budgets.
o Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Education/Skills/Experience: Master/Bachelor’s Engineering degree in metallurgy with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience
