Position Overview: The Financial Controller is a key leadership role within the finance department,

reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This position is responsible for overseeing the day- to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of effective financial strategies and controls.


Should be Chartered Accountant with least 10 years in Finance & Accounts Operations


Job Description:

  • Financial Operations, Reporting and Analysis:
  • Overseeing of end-to-end finance operations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of inventory records and levels.
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to conduct regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
  • Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:


Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the audit process.

Maintain and update internal control procedures.


  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Develop cash management strategies to optimize financial resources.
  • Taxation
  • ERP implementation


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
  • Implement best practices in financial management.

Audit Handling:

  • Manage statutory audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the financial strategic planning of the organization.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.


Education/Experience


Qualifications:


Should be Chartered Accountant with least 10 years in Finance & Accounts Operations

In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and development

Experience in the Retail industry or similar sectors (optional but can be a plus)
