Job Summary:


We are looking for a skilled and passionate Maya 3D Animator to join our animation team. As a Maya 3D Animator, you will be responsible for bringing characters, creatures, and objects to life in a variety of projects, ranging from films and TV shows to video games and commercials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of movement and emotion, and the technical skills to create high-quality animations using Autodesk Maya.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Character Animation: Create realistic and stylized character animations, including facial expressions, body movements, and lip-syncing, that convey the intended emotions and storytelling.
  • Scene Animation: Animate objects, props, and environments to enhance the storytelling and visual appeal of scenes.
  • Rigging Collaboration: Work closely with rigging artists to ensure that character rigs meet the needs of the animation and facilitate smooth, believable movements.
  • Performance and Timing: Develop strong performance and timing in animations, ensuring they align with the director’s vision and the overall style of the project.
  • Scene Preparation: Prepare scenes for animation, including camera setup, layout, and blocking.
  • Review and Refinement: Participate in animation reviews and critiques, making necessary adjustments based on feedback to meet the project's quality standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize Autodesk Maya’s , Blender , advanced animation tools and techniques to create high-quality animations efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as modeling, lighting, and compositing to ensure cohesive and integrated final outputs.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical and creative issues related to animation workflows.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and organize animation assets and files according to project guidelines and standards.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Document animation techniques and contribute to the development of best practice guides for the animation team.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in Autodesk Maya: Extensive experience with Maya’s animation tools, including knowledge of keyframing, graph editor, and blend shapes.
  • Strong Understanding of Animation Principles: Deep knowledge of the principles of animation, including timing, spacing, weight, and anticipation.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of rigging, skinning, and the technical aspects of 3D animation workflows.
  • Artistic Sensibility: Excellent sense of motion, weight, and form, with the ability to create both realistic and stylized animations.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to refine animations to achieve high-quality results that meet the project’s creative vision.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members across different departments.
  • Portfolio: A robust portfolio or demo reel showcasing your animation work and demonstrating a range of styles and techniques.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience with Other Software: Knowledge of additional software like Maya & Blender is advantageous.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the animation,or VFX industry is highly desirable.
  • Storytelling Skills: Ability to convey storytelling and emotional performance through animation.
  • Scripting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python or MEL) to enhance animation workflows and efficiency.


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Animation, Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
