Job Summary:
The General Manager for Wider Width (Woven) Textile Chemical Process Operations will oversee and manage all aspects of the chemical processing operations for wide-width textiles. This includes dyeing, pigment treatment, and effluent treatment processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in textile manufacturing, particularly in handling wide-width fabrics, and a strong background in chemical processes and operations management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of wide-width textile chemical processing, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance performance.
- Monitor and manage the entire dyeing, pigment treatment, and effluent treatment processes to ensure high-quality output.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement improvements in chemical processing techniques to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in effluent treatment and environmental sustainability.
- Utilize advanced technologies and methodologies to optimize chemical usage and minimize environmental impact.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, operators, and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality among staff.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on best practices and new technologies.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the chemical processing stages.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, sales, and supply chain, to align operations with overall business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure smooth procurement of chemicals and materials.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in textile manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing wide-width textile chemical processes.
- Proven experience in managing dyeing, pigment treatment, and effluent treatment operations.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of textile chemical processes, including dyeing, pigment treatment, and effluent treatment.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and process automation technologies.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and regulatory requirements in the textile industry.
