Company DescriptionWe're building the first chat-based remittance platform for the global diaspora, combining non-custodial wallets with seamless messaging. We're in the process of partnering with top ramp providers and are aiming for a launch in the next three months in three crucial remittance corridors in Asia/MEA.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Chennai for a Regulatory Affairs Manager. The Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for building our regulatory strategy from scratch. You'll secure exemptions/licenses in Philippines, the UAE, Mexico, Singapore, and beyond while developing frameworks that keep us agile and compliant. The role involves facilitating communication with relevant regulatory authorities and ensuring partner companies in local jurisdictions remain compliant with regulations.What You'll Do:Lead regulatory engagements with MAS, VARA, BSP, and other regulatorsDesign and implement global AML/CFT programsSecure necessary exemptions/licenses across 10+ jurisdictions Facilitate partnerships with local, licensed operators in markets where licensing may prove too costly or time-consumingQualificationsStrong understanding of Regulatory Compliance, Regulatory Requirements, and Regulatory AffairsProficiency in managing, implementing, and enhancing Quality SystemsExceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skillsWe're Looking For:3-4 years in fintech/crypto compliance with an interest in the fieldBasic understanding of non-custodial/crypto wallet regulationsTrack record building compliance programs from zero to oneConfidence in securing exemptions to licenses in foreign markets through research of local regulations and persuasion of regulatory personnelLocation: Hybrid (Chennai, India) with travel to UAE, Philippines, Singapore, etc., as required.
