Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (BJS) is a non-profit social impact organization in the forefront of addressing national concerns in disaster response, water conservation, health and social development. It has been a lead player in relief and rehabilitation efforts during all major disasters in India and its neighbourhood since 1993. With its ability to mobilize volunteers across the country, BJS has created sensitized task forces to undertake relief and rehabilitation work. It has also recognized the need for educational rehabilitation of disaster-affected children by providing them residential education. To mitigate devastating long-term effects of drought on communities, BJS has implemented large-scale drought mitigation programs, rejuvenating more than 13,000 large waterbodies and creating massive water storage capacities. At present, BJS in partnership with NITI Aayog is engaged in scaling this program in aspirational/water-stressed districts of the country. Recently, during COVID-19 pandemic, BJS responded with programs that touched more than 2.5 million people across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and several other states through doorstep health checks, COVID testing, awareness campaigns, support for COVID vaccination, oxygen support to patients, and by strengthening COVID-resilience in villages.
Position Overview:
The LMS Administrator will be a seasoned professional specializing in learning management systems. The primary role is to oversee and maintain the system to facilitate seamless learning experiences while aligning with organizational objectives. This role demands both technical proficiency and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the LMS including site design and interface, managing the
implementation of eLearning content, building and running reports, configuring user roles, permissions, and
course structures, and conducting routine system audits to promptly identify and resolve issues.
2. Keeps up with industry trends and education technologies, introducing enhancements to the Learning program
on a regular basis.
3. Establishes technical standards for the LMS and related learning systems including new implementations (e.g.,
data migrations, integrations, APIs, and more).
4. Maintains all learning system documentation, ensuring that essential information is readily available for
reference and troubleshooting.
5. Analyzes usage trends and prescribes recommendations on ways to fully optimize systems to accomplish
business goals.
6. Owns all aspects of user management, including access requests, validation, auditing, and scaling processes to
improve how we provide Redwood University access to customers and employees.
7. Install and upgrade databases, application software and other software related to learning management systems
administration.
8. Monitor and administer learning management systems security to include support for addition and removal of
user access, quota administration, audits and security problem resolution.
9. Continuously analyses and evaluates implementation process and establishes procedures and time table.
10. Assists in digital content implementation into LMS environment of master and live courses.
11. Administers or implements training-related applications including the Learning Management System (LMS).
12. Creates, maintains, and updates management structures.
13. Recognizes trends and provides feedback to training management.
14. Provides guidance and recommendations for decisions and/or problem resolution related to LMS.
15. A good LMS administrator should have a professional and efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams. This means this person should:
- Actively participate in the process of information exchange.
- Assist in the process of review creation.
- Make consultations with other teams to implement the best learning practices.
- Keep the track of the freshly uploaded relevant courses, materials, and workshops within the LCMS.
- Recognize and resolve the issues that may appear when it comes to course design, its configuration, or infrastructure.
- Make sure that the LMS works properly and act fast if it comes to bugs and unexpected errors.
- Help the learners with any issues.
- Review And Revise eLearning Content.
Education & Expertise:
· A bachelor’s degree in computer science, instructional design, or a related field. An additional qualification in
social work/development would be an added advantage.
· Possess expertise in tools and technologies related to LMS management, including content authoring tools,
coding languages, database management, server hosting environments, authentication and single sign-on,
integration, and analytics and reporting tools.
Requirements:
· Experience in managing data electronically.
· Experience in communicating with a variety of groups of customers at different levels Experience in managing
multiple projects.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Excel and PowerPoint experience required Knowledge of
HTML and JavaScript.
· The ability to communicate how the training program and reporting works to support the business needs.
· Communicate effectively and possess strong business writing skills.
· Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) Proficiency or ability to gain proficiency in eLearning
software.
· Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design process.
· Proficiency in training curriculum development preferred Effective organization and time management skills.
· Possess outstanding customer service skills.
· Able to work with minimal supervision.
Remuneration: Based on candidate’s current CTC and experience.
