Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer with 4 to 8 years of handson experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata solutions. As a Teradata Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing data models, developing ETL processes, and optimizing performance to support our data warehousing and analytics initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:


  1.  Design and implement Teradata solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  2.  Develop and optimize ETL processes using Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT.
  3.  Perform data modeling, database design, and schema management in Teradata environment.
  4.  Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  5.  Optimize query performance and ensure scalability of Teradata systems.
  6.  Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, data flows, and data mappings.
  7.  Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across Teradata environments.
  8.  Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing, performance, and data consistency.
  9.  Stay updated with Teradata best practices, new features, and industry trends.


Requirements:


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  •  4 to 8 years of handson experience working with Teradata, including data modeling, ETL development, and performance tuning.
  •  Proficiency in Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT.
  •  Strong SQL programming skills with experience in complex query optimization.
  •  Experience with Teradata performance tuning, indexing strategies, and workload management.
  •  Knowledge of Teradata tools and utilities for monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration.
  •  Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  •  Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  •  Good communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
