Job Description: WMS Support Consultant

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced WMS Support Consultant with expertise in Blue Yonder or RP WMS. This role involves providing functional support for Business As Usual (BAU) activities, including product configuration, troubleshooting, and batch monitoring, as well as enhancing and optimizing warehouse management systems.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide functional support for WMS operations and activities, including product configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Manage batch monitoring, RF devices, and label printing processes.
  • Support the integration of WMS with other enterprise systems, including ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
  • Configure and customize WMS applications to meet specific business needs and improve warehouse operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy system enhancements.
  • Conduct user training and develop user guides for both business users and technical teams.
  • Work on support processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) and meeting service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Stay updated on industry trends, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with company standards in WMS implementations.


Required Qualifications:


  • 6-12 years of experience working with WMS solutions such as Blue Yonder, Oracle WMS, SAP EWM, or Manhattan Associates.
  • Proven experience in configuring, implementing, and customizing WMS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inbound and outbound workflows, and integration points within WMS.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages for WMS customization.
  • Experience with RF devices and barcode scanning technologies.
  • Ability to resolve critical issues effectively within tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with WMS architecture and the integration of systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SRE jobs and WMS configurations.


Technical Skills:


  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, processes, and workflows.
  • Experience with automation technologies (conveyors, sorters, robotics) is a plus.
  • Expertise in WMS design patterns and principles.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • WMS certifications or experience with eCommerce logistics or high-volume warehouses is an advantage.
