Position Overview: ACME Group is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer with a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Renewable power sector, preferably in hydro power sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, managing, optimizing and reporting the status of project plans to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of our hydro and PSP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies to address potential scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all planning activities.
  • Support procurement processes by providing insights on project timelines and resource requirements.
  • Analyze historical project data to improve future project planning and execution.
  • Mentor junior planning staff and provide guidance on best practices in project planning and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in planning within the hydro and pumped storage power sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Proficiency in Presentation preparation skills in MS Power point.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to hydroelectric power generation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience with cost estimation and budget management.
  • Knowledge of complete execution cycle in hydro and PSP projects.
  • Experience in interaction with statutory bodies associated with project approvals
