  14. Define responsibility and authority for employees and ensure its implementation and compliance. Design, review, and maintain organization structure (organogram).
  15. Setting and monitoring targets for each department that align to company objectives.
  16. Responsible and accountable for implementation, effectiveness, and continual improvement of QHSE systems. This includes monitoring and continual improvement of service quality, on-time delivery, and operational efficiency.
  17. Managing and maintaining company assets (plant machinery, vehicles, inventory, etc.)
  18. Planning long term business strategy considering market forces.
  19. Plan for infrastructure, personnel, and necessary resources to meet company objectives.
  20. Provide business management reports to board of directors (BOD) at defined intervals.
  21. Prepare, present, implement and monitor company's annual budget.
  22. Responsible for general administration, which covers finance, human resources, legal, insurance, and IT
  23. Ensure company operations are fully compliant with local laws and regulations, and in-line with company policies.
  24. Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction is maintained at high level.
  25. Prepare business case study for approval of BOD regarding diversification of business or divestment of non- performing segments based on market forces.


Scope of authority:

  • Decisions related to allocation of resources (man, machine, material), and structure thereof, in accordance with guidelines and policies set by the reporting director.
  • Appraisal of employees in consultation with reporting director.
  • Approve all operational, marketing, purchase, and sub-contract costs related with projects/shop works up to financial limit set by the company.
  • Approve supplier invoices for payment, credit facilities to customers.
  • Decisions related to which projects to accept and which ones to let go based on workload, margins, complexity, competency of team, and business strategy.


Technical Competencies :

  • Ability to understand and analyze financial statements - Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow
  • Ability to assess business risks, determine severity, and act to mitigate these. Contingency planning for exigencies or unexpected negative business impacts. Formal education of Risk Management will be an added advantage.
  • Able to decide on high priority customers based on 80/20 rule and other appropriate criteria.
  • Decisions related to which projects to accept and which ones to let go based on workload, margins, complexity, competency of team, and business strategy.


Behavioral competencies:

  • Ability Analyze problems and take educated/informed decisions to address these.
  • Trustworthiness - exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication (written and oral), negotiation, and man-management skills, with ability to work under pressure.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to Quality standards with Zero Defect as the aim; Coordinate actions for Rework-Rejection reduction and Capability enhancement
  • Accountable for overall Capital budget to meet Annual Operation Plan (AOP) targets through prioritization process, overall manufacturing operations and new product introductions.
  • Responsible for acquisition of new Manufacturing Technologies to stay competitive and keep ahead of the competition.
  • Produce weekly/monthly management information reports to senior management in respect to service levels and support activities (e.g. dashboards, rag status, SLAs, risks/issues).
  • Compliance to legal regulations.


Desired Qualification -

  1. Tech/ B. E. degree – Mechanical, Operation or Production Engineering.
  2. M. Tech (Mechanical)/MBA (Operational Management)/PMP
  3. Six Sigma experience and/or certification preferable.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP software.


Desired Experience -

  1. 20 years or above experience in Manufacturing Industry out of which at least 5-7 years should be in Senior Managerial level.
  2. Experience in lean manufacturing or any other production/quality-based processes.
