Responsibilities:

  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools.


Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
  • Proven working experience in Android app development and have published at least three original Android apps.
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile portrait, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Working experience using Web Services and API’s built on SOAP or REST and using XML or JSON.
  • Exposure to Jetpack Compose is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge on securing data channels using various mechanisms (basic authentication, OAuth 2.0, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud technologies like AWS and GCP APIs will be an added advantage.
