You will leverage your extensive experience and expertise in cloud computing, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/deployment to create and enhance platform-based services that empower our teams to adopt and optimize cloud resources. You will also mentor and coach other engineers, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and champion best practices and standards across the organization. Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and ongoing enhancement of a central development portal, ensuring seamless access to cloud resources, tools, and documentation for developers.
- Engage with engineering and development teams to understand their needs and align our platform solutions with organizational objectives.
- Design and implement governance frameworks to ensure cloud deployments and our platform offerings meet strict monitoring, threat management, data protection, and cost management standards.
- Provide guidance and support for teams navigating cloud onboarding, design, and implementation, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration of cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain a foundational suite of Terraform modules, GitHub workflows, and Reference architectures to streamline team onboarding and enhance service delivery.
- Plan and execute robust strategies for migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud, aligning with broader organizational goals.
- Stay at the forefront of cloud platform engineering trends and technologies, advocating for innovative solutions that bolster organizational performance and agility.
- Serve as a bridge to organizational resources for teams facing challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Cultivate a knowledge-sharing ecosystem, documenting cloud infrastructure and application guidelines, best practices, and tutorials.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in designing, automating, and supporting AWS cloud services.
- AWS specialization with certification is preferred.
- Expertise with core AWS services (e.g., AWS Organizations, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
- A deep understanding of cloud services, security, storage, and networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD workflows in GitHub or similar platforms.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools and techniques.
- Coding experience in languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, etc.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies.
- Linux expertise, including automation with Bash and/or Python.
- Experience utilizing REST APIs and cloud service SDKs in automation scripts.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to mentor and coach other engineers.
