Welcome to Zensar Read on for more details on the role and about us.What's this role about?A Quality Engineering (QE) Architect or QE Manager is a senior, technical leader responsible for designing and implementing the overall quality architecture for an organization. This is a strategic, hands-on role that focuses on integrating quality-first practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), rather than simply testing at the end. A QE Architect does not manage people but is an individual contributor who designs quality ecosystems, leads technical direction, and mentors senior engineers.Skills required to contribute:Key responsibilitiesStrategy and designDefine and implement the QE roadmap: Design and execute the overarching quality engineering strategy that integrates with the broader enterprise architecture. This includes standards for test automation, performance testing, security testing, and test environments.Architect test automation frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks from scratch. This includes selecting the appropriate tools, programming languages, and design patterns (like Hybrid or Behavior-Driven Development).Drive CI/CD integration: Integrate testing and quality gates directly into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable efficient, automated, and continuous testing.Establish quality metrics: Define and track key metrics that measure product quality, test effectiveness, and automation return on investment (ROI). Use data to drive decisions and demonstrate the value of the QE strategy.Technical leadershipProvide technical oversight: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in quality engineering and a mentor to QE and development teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and implementation issues.Promote shift-left testing: Work with development and product teams to embed quality practices early in the SDLC. Review functional and design specifications to ensure testability and quality.Evaluate and introduce new technologies: Research, evaluate, and implement new testing tools, platforms, and methodologies, such as AI-driven testing or service virtualization, to keep the quality strategy current.Ensure non-functional quality: Design strategies for performance, load, stress, and security testing to ensure that applications are not only functional but also scalable, resilient, and secure.Technical skillsProgramming expertise: Strong hands-on coding skills in languages like Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, with an excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.Automation mastery: Deep experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Rest Assured, or Appium.API and web services: Expertise in API automation using tools like SoapUI or Postman.CI/CD and DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Gitlab.Cloud experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for setting up and managing testing infrastructure.Database proficiency: Solid knowledge of SQL for database validation and management.Behavioral and leadership skillsStrategic thinking: Ability to think broadly and strategically about the quality ecosystem, understanding how different components interact.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex technical strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.Leadership and mentoring: A talent for leading technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers without direct authority.Problem-solving: A proactive, creative, and analytical approach to solving complex, system-wide quality challengesMust have skills:- Automation Testing Architect-Experience: 10 to 20+yearsLocation: BangaloreNotice Period: Early joiners are highly appreciated. or Max 30DaysBudget CTC: 30LPA MaxAdvantage ZensarWe are a digital solutions and technology services company that partners with global organizations across industries to achieve digital transformation.
