Job Description:
NOVARGI Indian branch, an Indian established company belonging to the International Group NOVARGI, is currently seeking a Material and Corrosion Senior Engineer to join our Indian team based in PUNE.

The Company is acting worldwide from our headquarters in Europe (Spain) and our centers in India, China and Middle East leading projects in the Upstream, Downstream, Circular Economy and Transition Energy.
NOVARGI PUNE branch, is mainly focused on Detail Engineering activities for the whole group and Project management activities.

About The Role:
A Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer is responsible for overseeing the selection, testing, and implementation of materials that will be used in construction and operation, ensuring their durability and resistance to corrosion.
Identify appropriate materials for various components and systems in oil and gas operations.
Conduct and supervise material testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Develop and implement comprehensive corrosion management plans.
Collaborate with design teams to integrate material and corrosion considerations into engineering designs.
Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications related to materials and corrosion.
Utilize techniques such as cathodic protection, coatings, and inhibitors to prevent and control corrosion.
Investigate material failures and corrosion incidents to determine root causes.
Develop and recommend corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
Provide expertise in material selection and corrosion prevention during the design phase of projects.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., NACE, ASTM) and project requirements.
Oversee regular inspections and monitoring of materials and equipment to assess corrosion and material degradation.
Design , Implement and maintain systems for continuous monitoring of corrosion.
Conduct research on new materials and corrosion control technologies.
Stay updated with advancements in material science and corrosion engineering.
Prepare detailed reports on material selection, testing results, and corrosion management activities.
Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, analyses, and recommendations.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff on material selection and corrosion prevention.
Promote awareness of corrosion issues and best practices throughout the organization.
Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Develop and update company standards and procedures related to materials and corrosion.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate material and corrosion considerations into project plans.
Serve as a technical advisor on materials and corrosion issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications (e.g., NACE, API) are preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering within the oil and gas industry
Extensive knowledge of material properties and corrosion mechanisms.
Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE, ASTM, API, and ISO.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using corrosion management and material testing software and tools.
