Job Objective:

  • To lead New Product Development projects according to a pre-defined Development Gate Process (DGP). ensuring all projects are delivered using a ‘best-project management practices & methodology’ Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
  • To provide strong leadership in a matrix environment and oversee the portfolio of organisational projects, to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects and programmes to ensure successful delivery & continuous business growth.


Primary responsibilities:


Project Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements according to predefined Development Gate Process (DGP) for New Product Developments.
  • Conduct risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Define project milestones and deliverables to track progress effectively.
  • Prepare and get respective approvals on project documents according to Development Gate Process criteria defined for each gate.

Team Leadership:

Build and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities in consultation with the Technical Project Leader based on team members' strengths and expertise.

Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting a shared vision of project success

Communication:

  • Establish clear lines of communication among team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, schedule, budget and changes in scope.
  • Facilitate effective regular meetings and discussions to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals

Resource Management:

  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Identify and address any resource constraints or bottlenecks promptly.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify and assess potential risks to the project's success.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize the impact of the unforeseen challenge

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and expectations, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate project performance and outcomes, seeking opportunities for process improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptability within the project team.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project outcomes and implement corrective actions as needed.

Internal process

  • Collaborate with Cross Function Teams for finalising project plan, defining WBS, Tasks, estimation of budget & timelines.
  • Manage project management tool for creation of projects portfolio, DGP Workflow, Gantt Chart, resource management, documents approval process & reporting etc.
  • Collate qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes & regular updates to respective stakeholders.
  • Execute continuous improvement processes
  • Learn & Gain knowledge of pharmaceutical process machinery/product lines of ACG (APT/Xertecs)
