Job Description: SDE - Mobile Development (Native Android)

Location: Bengaluru (WFO)

About the Position:

As an SDE in the Mobile Development team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our native Android application, catering to all key stakeholders in the system and providing a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications.
  • Ensure performance, responsiveness, and quality of applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs while optimizing performance bottlenecks.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and implement automation practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of developing native Android applications.
  • Skills:Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of Android application lifecycle, components, and architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM).
  • Hands-on experience with background processing and multithreading (e.g., Coroutines, AsyncTask).
  • Familiarity with APIs and database utilities outside Android.
  • Strong foundation in data structures & algorithms, operating systems, I/O, and concurrency.
  • Proficiency with technologies like RxJava, Dagger 2, Room Database, and more.
  • Experience with unit testing, TDD, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of clean architecture, dependency injection, and reactive programming principles.
  • Object-oriented design and development experience, with a focus on efficient problem-solving and performance optimization.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Tools: Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus:
  • Experience with iOS or cross-platform development (Flutter) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of any relational or NoSQL database.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment.
