Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in GST, HSN code classification, and customs duty taxation. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in import/export taxation, the ability to identify the correct HSN Code for products, and research the applicable customs duties and GST rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify the correct HSN Code for products and determine the applicable GST rate.
  • Research and verify customs duties applicable to different imported products.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper cash flow management.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with customs duty taxation and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors and tax authorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in customs duty taxation, import/export taxation, and GST compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of HSN Code classification and its impact on GST and import duties.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to research and interpret tax laws, import policies, and customs regulations.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CA Inter / CMA / MBA in Finance (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in a B2B business, import/export, or procurement sector.
  • Prior experience in customs clearance and dealing with government authorities.
