Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Accountant located in Mumbai at All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making processes.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting
  • Proficient in handling Charitable Trust accounts & taxation matters and have minimum 15 years of work experience in responsible position
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
  • The person should be conversant with Tally financial accounting package (ERP 9 version & Tally Prime). Also the candidate should be able to handle Microsoft Office utilities, Income Tax & GST utilities with proficiency
  • Must know Microsoft office well
  • should be honest, hardworking, sincere & must have high degree of integrity & maturity;
  • Should have exposure to Income Tax, GST law, CSR provisions under the Companies Act and the provisions under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act;
  • Should be able to correspond independently with external agencies & complete stock reconciliation, accounts reconciliation with customers, creditors, branches;
  • Should be able to deduct TDS & check GST compliance by various suppliers / contractors ;
  • Should be conversant with availing Input GST set off paid against Output GST liabilities;
  • Should be familiar with accrual system of accounting & draw up balance sheet, income & expenditure account and Receipt & Payment Account on a monthly basis;
  • Should be able to draw out receipts for all cash collections & arrange for depositing the same with the bank immediately and complete cash & bank reconciliation regularly;
  • Should be able to draw final accounts for the branch & budget in line with the provisions under the Maharashtra Public Trust act, 1950;
  • Should be able to get the internal & external audit completed for the Branch without any adverse observations/qualifications
  • Should be able to ensure statutory compliance for the Branch
  • Be conversant with banking operations as well as Investments
  • The person should be sensitive to the fact that ours is a Spiritual Organization & should be able to liaise with the donors independently in issuance of receipts
