Position Overview


As a Sustainability Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our sustainability initiatives, driving projects, and fostering positive social impact. This opportunity will provide invaluable hands-on experience, perfect for advancing your career in sustainability.


Location: Alang, Gujarat, India (Mandatory Relocation to Bhavnagar, Gujarat)

Duration: 1-year appointment with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Compensation: Based on academic level


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in benchmarking PBIL’s sustainability performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate on projects addressing environmental and social impact initiatives.
  • Analyze and present data related to environmental performance, waste management, energy consumption, and carbon footprint.
  • Support the development of community outreach programs in collaboration with local and global stakeholders.
  • Promote sustainability through educational programs, training, and innovative initiatives.
  • Engage with suppliers to evaluate their sustainability performance.
  • Conduct research and gap analysis against global best practices and regulations.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's/Master’s in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in handling data and metrics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication in English and Hindi (knowledge of Gujarati is a bonus).
  • Passion for sustainability and social responsibility, coupled with a proactive and independent work style.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
