Job Description:


We are seeking a talented Shopify Developer with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will lead the development cycle of Shopify and Shopify Plus sites for premium brands. You'll collaborate with our Project Management and Account Management teams to deliver high-quality solutions that exceed client expectations while maintaining project timelines and budgets.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and customize Shopify themes to meet client requirements
  • Implement new user-facing features with a focus on responsive and adaptive design
  • Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs in collaboration with designers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing projects
  • Collaborate with backend developers and other team members for seamless project execution
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Conduct performance audits and implement optimization strategies
  • Handle complex theme customizations and app integrations
  • Implement and maintain e-commerce tracking and analytics solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • 2-3 years of professional experience in front-end development, specifically with Shopify
  • Proficient in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript (ES5/ES6)
  • Experience with Shopify CLI and Theme Kit
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js)
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility and debugging
  • Proven track record of successful Shopify store launches
  • Knowledge of e-commerce security best practices
  • Ability to convert design files from Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, or Figma into functional code
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with Shopify Plus and delivering mid to large-scale projects
  • Understanding of design principles and user experience (UX)
  • Experience with headless Shopify implementations
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and Shopify's Storefront API
  • Familiarity with BEM syntax markup
  • Experience with package management tools (NPM, Yarn) and build tools (Webpack, Gulp)
  • Experience using RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools and methodologies
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of payment gateway integrations
  • Experience with modern CSS frameworks
