Key Responsibilities:



  • Automation of 3D Drawing Creation: Use AI-driven digitized information from 2D architectural, structural, and civil drawings to programmatically generate accurate 3D models, including concrete outlines and rebar placements.
  • Rebar Detailing in 3D Models: Automate the generation of 3D rebar draw-ins based on design data, ensuring precise placement and adherence to industry standards.
  • Concrete Outline Generation: Develop algorithms and software workflows to programmatically create concrete outlines for both residential and commercial construction projects, including accurate dimensional and structural detailing.
  • CAD Software Integration: Work with industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla) or other suitable 3D drawing platforms, ensuring programmatic access via APIs to automate 3D drawing creation and allow for post-generation edits by users.
  • Optimization of Drawing Automation: Continuously improve and optimize the software pipeline for automated 3D drawing creation, ensuring high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Testing and Validation: Work with construction and engineering teams to validate that the generated 3D models meet real-world construction standards and project requirements.


Qualifications:


  • Programming Expertise: Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in 3D CAD and automation.
  • 3D Modeling Experience: Hands-on experience in generating 3D construction models, especially related to structural elements like concrete outlines and rebar detailing.
  • CAD Software Knowledge: Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or other construction-specific software, with experience integrating automation workflows through APIs or SDKs.
  • Construction Knowledge: A solid understanding of construction, architectural, and civil engineering drawings, particularly those related to structural elements like rebar and concrete.
  • Algorithm Development: Experience in developing algorithms for generating 3D models from 2D inputs, particularly for large-scale construction projects.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle the complexity of translating 2D architectural and structural information into 3D rebar and concrete drawings.



Preferred Experience:


  • 10 + years in software development for CAD or construction-focused 3D modeling.
  • Experience with automating structural and rebar detailing in 3D models.
  • Familiarity with building automation solutions for residential and commercial construction projects.
