Position Summary: You’ll be joining AIGC’s Data Practice as a Data Management and Governance Specialist with over 12 years of experience in working with Data and delivering data management and Governance projects to clients. You will use your deep data expertise to pioneer the formulation of focused, actionable and effective data strategies to sustainably deliver business outcomes for our clients.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understand, Scope and prepare a techno-commercial bid response to RFQs related to Data Management, Governance, Storage, Architecture, Quality, Security, Privacy etc. and also familiarity with Open Data Sharing.
  • Identify relevant resources for all Data projects including hiring and offer technical consultation and lead the projects, if required.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders for effective technical leadership of projects
  • Act as a trusted advisor for the client in their Data transformation activities.
  • Actively participate in pre-sales activities related to Data Practice
  • Participate in conferences and marketing campaigns, creating success stories and use cases, and profile presentation preparation etc. related to Data Practice.
  • Mentor young team members and coach them in their learning journey.
  • Managing and growing the Data Practice team by providing support to hiring team.
  • Develop best practices in effective Data Management and Governance projects.
  • Developing and sustaining excellent external client and vendor partnerships
  • Identifying and researching business development opportunities on new or existing clients and directing the development of client proposals and bids
  • Work and collaborate on defining and designing various governance templates, SLAs and benchmarks on policies including communications, data exchanges, retention, escalation timelines, quality etc.
  • Serve as a liaison between business, IT and functional area leadership to develop and maintain effective relationship to ensure focus on delivery aligned to Data Governance (DG) Program i.e. business glossary, data lineage, integration, security, stewardship etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring and updating the progress on the implementation activities, including documenting the requirements, preparing a report to showcase performance progress and sharing further suggestions for improvements.


Technical Skills and Experience:

Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for data. You will bring your track-record in driving data change to enable clients to achieve their business outcomes.


To qualify for the role, you will have most of the following:


  • A minimum of 12 years’ experience in Data Strategy or Data Management or Data Governance
  • Deep and extensive understanding of Data Strategy, Data Management, and Data Analytics principles, and one or more of several common Data Management methodologies and capability models (e.g. DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC) and toolsets
  • End-to-end hands-on experience in at least Data Practice related projects.
  • Experience structuring and running maturity assessments, eliciting & understanding client strategic aims, pain points, and requirements, and providing actionable recommendations
  • Extensive experience in documenting current-state processes, roles & responsibilities and governance structures, and designing their target-state
  • Experience supporting the definition of data strategies, business cases and roadmaps
  • Proven experience running delivery teams, with an ability to create and sustain a positive and inclusive team environment, even when under pressure and in ambiguous circumstances
  • It is highly desired to have solid experience in project scoping and management, but it is not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with solid experience and comfort working autonomously and in team environments
  • Familiar with tools for Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog, Data Privacy tools like Informatica and Alation.
  • Familiar with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse such as Snowflake and Cloudera
  • Familiar with Cloud deployment platforms such as MS Azure, GCP, AWS, Oracle Cloud and Databricks
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools such as Alteryx or others.
  • Familiarity with different data storage and RDBMS like different commercial SQL software and being able to code in SQL language.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy security and other regulations (e.g., NDMO, GDPR, PDPL, CCPA) and their implications on data governance.
  • Familiarity of Saudi DNMO regulations is highly desired


Educational Qualification & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
