About Samvedna Development Society:

Samvedna Development Society is a new-age NGO committed to the sustainable development of rural communities. With a focus on livelihood interventions, we work on various projects supported by government and private entities to enhance the quality of life in rural areas. Our current collaboration with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited and the Ministry of Rural Development aims to bolster the livestock and fisheries sectors.

Project Overview:

The Ministry of Rural Development has signed an MoU with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited to support the livelihood intervention of DAY-NRLM by syncing their activities in livestock and fisheries development. As part of this initiative, we are establishing a centralized Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) at the national level and state PMUs to ensure effective implementation of livestock programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Value Chain Activities: Oversee and manage various value chain activities, including Federation-Doctor, Poultry, Goatry, Dairy, and Goat.
  • Cluster-Based Interventions: Implement cluster-based interventions to enhance the productivity and sustainability of livestock programmes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with state government officials, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of livestock programmes.
  • Project Management: Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Conduct training sessions and capacity-building workshops for local communities and stakeholders involved in the livestock value chain.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of livestock programmes and suggest improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree in Veterinary Science.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in veterinary science, with a focus on livestock management and development.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of livestock value chains, veterinary practices, and animal health management.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges in project implementation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
