Job Title: Lead - Instructional Design & Development

Location: Bengaluru

What you will do:

We are looking for a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in Instructional Design Principles (IDP) and expertise in designing learning solutions across multiple formats, including e-learning, virtual instructor-led, and blended learning programs. This role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and stakeholders to develop content that aligns with business goals and enhances learner engagement.

  • Apply Instructional Design Principles (IDP) to develop Level 1 to Level 4 engaging and effective learning solutions. Utilize learning theories, such as ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, and Adult Learning Principles, to enhance instructional content.
  • Create effective training materials mapping the stakeholder needs using learning modalities such as Instructor-led training, Web-based training, virtual Instructor-led training, simulations, videos, interactive learning nuggets, websites (responsive design), mobile learning, webinars, face-to-face workshop content, newsletters, and communication templates.
  • Independently develop an e-Learning solution from requirement gathering to Pre-design till the Beta-phase, adhering to all the stages of the Delivery Lifecycle (DLC).
  • Prepare and test a SCORM file for publishing to the Learning Management System.
  • Write impactful storyboards by understanding the raw content and repurposing it based on audience, content, modality and other considerations to be used as blueprint instructions for content development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Subject Matter Experts, team leads, internal communications teams through various phases of learning design and development based on the identified business problem, audience profile, and evaluation methodology.
  • Perform quality checks on the training deliverables to meet the standard quality benchmarks.
  • Develop assessments, quizzes, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Experiment with new learning technologies and trends as well as test for applicability to content creation requirements.

Who you are:

  • Desired work experience: 8+ years in instructional design principles (IDP) and content development with strong understanding of training and design strategy
  • Adept at gathering and understanding source content to create engaging courses based on the target audience
  • Experience in applying proven learning methodologies and emerging technologies for adult learning
  • Certifications in Instructional Design (e.g., ATD, CPLP, or other relevant certifications) are preferred.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, iSpring or similar.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, SCORM, and xAPI standards.
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to create storyboard.
  • Ability to curate/build upon SME skills and knowledge and turn it into learning content.
  • Knowledge of microlearning, gamification, and emerging e-learning trends is a plus.
