About the job

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data projects, cloud data warehousing, and understanding on data architectures. As a Snowflake Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, design, and development of data warehouse systems (SQL Server based on Cloud/on premise and Analytics) at enterprise scale.

Experience:

5 years' hands-on experience in Snowflake, Data Modeling, and Architecture.

At least 12 years' overall experience in Data Modeling/Data Warehousing.

5 years' experience in Snowflake, including expertise in Cloning, Data Sharing, and Search optimization.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Python and PySpark.

Ability to write complex SQL for analysis and troubleshooting of data anomalies.

Experience in Performance Management in Snowflake.

Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).

Experience across Snowflake and Cloud-based databases on IAM & Role Management.

Familiarity with GIT for development, deployment, and support of data processes and procedures.

Detailed understanding of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Snowflake resources (e.g., S3, Glue, Blob, EC2, Containers, etc.).

Experience with Linux and Windows environments.

Data Management:

Experience in Snowpark, Snowflake Data Sharing, Cloning, and Database replication for Disaster Recovery (DR) features.

Expertise in high-volume data processing using Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, and other relevant cloud technologies.

Design solutions for reliability and performance at scale.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Integration:

Experience with BI tool and Database integration.

Snowflake Optimization:

Work on Snowflake optimizations at both the warehouse and database levels.

Configuration and Deployment:

Setup, configure, and deploy Snowflake components including Databases, Warehouses, and Roles.

Data Sharing and SnowPipes:

Setup and monitor data shares and Snow Pipes for Snowflake projects.



Cloud Management Frameworks:

Experience in implementing Snowflake Cloud management frameworks, encompassing monitoring, alerting, governance models, budgets, change management, cost optimization lifecycle, show-backs, and charge-backs.

Cloud Cost Reporting:

Experience in developing Cloud Usage reporting to measure cloud cost-related insights, metrics, and KPIs.

Forecasting and Trend Analysis:

Experience in developing Snowflake forecasting process, building, and improving forecasts, and exploring trends in cloud spend using internal and external tools.

These qualifications collectively demonstrate a strong foundation in data architecture, modeling, and hands-on experience with relevant technologies, emphasizing expertise in Snowflake, cloud platforms, and data management processes.
