Job Title: Network Engineer (L2/L3) Location: Mangalore Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in routing, switching, and network security, with hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks.Responsibilities:Manage, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN).Handle network incidents and escalations at L2/L3 level, ensuring timely resolution.Perform root cause analysis for recurring network issues and implement corrective actions.Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.Collaborate with global network teams to support infrastructure upgrades and migrations.Monitor network performance, optimize bandwidth utilization, and ensure high availability.Implement network security best practices including ACLs, IPS/IDS, and VPN policies.Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and change management records.Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 network support.Required Skills:Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching protocols – BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs.Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista network equipment.Experience in firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint).Proficiency in network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark, SNMP).Familiar with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and network automation tools.Good understanding of IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and QoS.Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent (CCIE is a plus).
