Job Summary:


Utiltyx India Private Limited is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Manager/Director of Engineering with a strong background in building software solutions for the Power Grid sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of utility protocols such as DNP3 and IEC 61850, and have a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical guidance and support in the development of software solutions for the Power Grid sector.
  • Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in utility protocols (DNP3, IEC 61850) and integrate them into our solutions.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and operations, to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring projects remain on track.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and partners.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve our products and services.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in the Power Grid sector, with a strong understanding of utility protocols like DNP3 and IEC 61850.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in software development languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Deep understanding of utility communication protocols and their application in power grid systems.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
