We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead – Java / Node.js with strong hands-on expertise in enterprise application architecture and healthcare system integration. The ideal candidate will have deep technical proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (Express/NestJS), Microservices, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), along with a solid understanding of FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, and EHR/EMR systems.In this role, you will lead the technical design, development, and implementation of healthcare applications, guiding a team of developers and ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.Lead the design and development of distributed, scalable, and secure applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js (Express/NestJS).Architect microservices-based solutions that support healthcare interoperability (FHIR/HL7 APIs).Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate healthcare business requirements into technical designs.Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements in system architecture.Development & IntegrationBuild and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to integrate with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.Develop backend services handling patient data, appointments, billing, and claims modules.Design and implement real-time data processing and secure data exchange using FHIR/HL7 standards.Optimize application performance and scalability through code reviews, refactoring, and architectural improvements.Team Management & DeliveryLead a team of developers, ensuring high-quality code delivery through mentoring, peer reviews, and best practices.Oversee the full SDLC, from design to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Experience: 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.Technical SkillsLanguages: Java 8/11/17, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQLFrameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Express.js, NestJS, Hibernate/JPAMicroservices & Integration: REST, SOAP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, FHIR, HL7, OAuth2, JWTDatabases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, OracleCloud Platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP (Lambda, ECS, Kubernetes, S3, RDS)DevOps & Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, Maven/GradleHealthcare Standards: FHIR, HL7, CCD, DICOM, HIPAA complianceTesting: JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Mocha, Postman, NewmanPreferred QualificationsExperience integrating EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech, etc.).Experience with FHIR servers, SMART on FHIR apps, or healthcare analytics systems.Familiarity with API Gateway, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture (Kafka/Streams).Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Java (OCP), or Node.js certification.Soft SkillsStrong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple priorities.
