Engineering Manager - QA

As an Engineering Manager - QA at Fynd, you will lead a team of QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for establishing and evolving a quality assurance process, designing test strategies, and ensuring that the team delivers excellent performance across complex systems.


What will you do at Fynd?

  • Determine project requirements, establish test plans, and create work schedules for the QA team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 10-30 QA engineers, ensuring timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly testing goals.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, automated test frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end quality for new features, product releases, and system updates.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of high-quality products through manual and automated testing strategies.
  • Ensure that product performance, security, and scalability are validated before launch.
  • Own and optimize our testing infrastructure to increase test coverage and decrease release cycles.
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes to align with agile methodologies.
  • Write and maintain detailed technical documentation on testing strategies, tools, and practices.


Some Specific Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a leadership or Tech Lead role within QA, and a minimum of 6+ years in testing.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing QA processes for web or mobile applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of both manual and automated testing methodologies, with expertise in testing APIs and UI-based applications.
  • Proficient in using automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience with cloud-based CI/CD environments like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI for automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Good understanding of async programming using Callbacks, Promises, and Async/Await, particularly in test automation.
  • Familiarity with backend and frontend testing using tools like Jest, Cypress, or Mocha.
  • Deep understanding of databases like MongoDB, Redis, or MySQL, specifically for database validation and testing.
  • Basic knowledge of event-driven systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront) and testing cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and their importance in QA environments.
