The General Manager of Public Policy & Government Affairs at Porter will shape interactions with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and policymakers to ensure a favourable operating environment. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic policies, ensuring legal compliance, engaging with key stakeholders, and driving advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the industry policy landscape and a proven track record of influencing policy outcomes.

Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our Campus and Referral Programs. This role is pivotal in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent from universities and through employee referrals. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for building strong talent pipelines.

Role:

  • Campus Recruitment:
  • Develop and implement effective campus recruitment strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and student organizations.
  • Plan and execute on-campus events, career fairs, workshops, and internship programs.
  • Partner with academic institutions to enhance our employer brand among students.
  • Lifecycle management of all interns from building hiring mandates to conversion of these internships to full time opportunities.
  • Referral Programs:
  • Manage and enhance employee referral programs to leverage internal networks.
  • Encourage employee participation and track the effectiveness of referral initiatives.
  • Streamline the referral process to ensure a positive experience for both referrers and candidates.
  • Analyze and report on referral program metrics to optimize performance.
  • Talent Pipeline Contracts
  • Identify and engage with potential candidates to create a talent pipeline for current and future needs in contacts

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide guidance on market trends.
  • Candidate Experience:
  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct interviews, assessments, and background checks as needed.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on campus recruitment and referral programs.
  • Strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
