Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated laboratory assistant to join our team focused on lithium-ion battery recycling. The ideal candidate will support the research and development activities by performing a variety of laboratory tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling processes, and contributing to the advancement of sustainable battery technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Support:
  • Assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments used in battery recycling processes.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and samples for testing and analysis.
  • Conduct routine tests and experiments following established protocols and procedures.
  • Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately and in a timely manner.


  • Data Management:
  • Collect, record, and analyse experimental data.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all experiments, including lab notebooks and electronic databases.
  • Assist in the interpretation of data and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations.


  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Handle hazardous materials and dispose of chemical waste according to established guidelines.
  • Participate in regular safety training and drills.


  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions to the Lab Manager or Senior Scientist.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and chemicals, and assist in ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with team members, providing support and assistance as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve laboratory processes and recycling techniques.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • B.Sc. Chemistry/ M.Sc. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.


  • Experience:
  • Fresher’s / Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on batteries, recycling, or environmental science.


  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting experiments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory data management software.
  • Other Requirements:
