Senior Software Engineer


POSITION OVERVIEW

Our company delivers operational supply chain insights based on data and predictive analytics. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute in an agile environment to develop and deploy applications and features that are used in customer-facing SaaS solutions for supply chain risk management.

We are looking to augment our team with experienced and highly competent software engineers that enjoy problem solving, collaborating, troubleshooting, and delivering quality solutions. You will be using the latest in cloud-native technologies to deliver secure, highly available solutions enabling our clients to reduce the volatility in their supply chain operations and increase the value of their businesses.

We are looking for experienced individuals who are ready to contribute individually and take shared ownership of our platform to provide quality solutions across our software stack as well as helping provide direction and growth to less experienced engineers.

To build our services, we use a wide range of technologies, such as:

  • Python
  • Django

Responsibilities

  • Work together with architects, engineers, product managers and UI/UX design teams to build high quality, feature rich product experiences.
  • Meet a high bar for your software engineering contributions and quality.
  • Take ownership of your contributions to the platform to maintain high code quality, performance, stability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with architecture to ensure deliverables and designs meet/exceed expectations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on professional experience with Python frameworks (Django/Flask) and/or Typescript/Javascript frameworks (Next.js/React).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing at a high level to successful software projects/products.
  • Excellent understanding and hands on experience with troubleshooting, profiling and performance-proofing large, data intensive applications.
  • Delivered features on a product and understand the software development lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Demonstrated technical excellence and leadership providing solutions that solve complex problems.
  • Experienced with Agile principles and have worked on a Scrum based to deliver software on a regular cadence.
  • Working knowledge/ experience with cloud (AWS preferred) tools and packages.
  • Hands on experience with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).

Bonus Skills

  • Domain experience in Supply-Chain and/or the Transportation industry.
  • Experience delivering a B2B SaaS product to production.
  • Knowledge of graph DB technologies (e.g. Neo4j, etc).
