Role Overview:

As a Design Director/ Creative Director at Uplift.Studio, you will be a key creative force, leading the development of high-caliber designs and communication materials for a global audience. Working exclusively on international projects, your role demands a deep interest of global design trends, cultural nuances, and exceptional communication skills in English. You will mentor and inspire junior designers while collaborating closely with the Executive Creative Director to bring groundbreaking creative ideas to life.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Lead the design team in conceptualizing and developing high-quality design solutions that align with the brand’s goals and meet global standards.
  • Design Execution: Create and oversee the development of beautiful, functional, and innovative design assets across multiple touchpoints—digital, print, and experiential.
  • Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Inspire and mentor junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow their skills and achieve the studio’s design objectives.
  • Ideation & Strategy: Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director to generate fresh, forward-thinking concepts for a variety of projects. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and play an active role in shaping the creative vision of projects.
  • Cross-Platform Communication Materials: Design a diverse range of marketing and communication assets, including digital campaigns, social media visuals, presentations, packaging, branding, and more, ensuring all materials resonate with international audiences.
  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in brand and communication design ideally some on global projects.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading design teams, mentoring junior designers, and taking ownership of design projects from start to finish.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Global Mindset: Genuine interest/understanding of global design trends and cultural nuances, ensuring relevance and appeal to diverse international markets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Proficiency in Figma and After Effects would be a big plus
  • Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative thinker with a strong attention to detail and the ability to find innovative solutions to design challenges.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, balance creativity with execution, and consistently deliver high-quality work on time.
