Role Overview:

The Data Science Consultant will have a strong background in Biotech, Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences and proven expertise in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and complex data science projects.

In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to transform diverse pharmaceutical datasets (e.g., sales, claims, payer data) into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate is skilled at building and deploying machine learning models, developing algorithms, and transforming raw data into robust predictive solutions. The Consultant, AI-Commercial Advisory will also be client-facing to ensure proficiency and utilization of deliverables & AI-products.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to analyze pharmaceutical datasets (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, open data) and generate actionable insights.

· Build and maintain data pipelines and scalable ML models on a Data Lake architecture using cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3, SageMaker).

· Conduct exploratory data analysis, data profiling, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for predictive modeling, utilizing advanced statistical techniques.

· Work with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into data science solutions and create compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports (using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, QuickSight, or ThoughtSpot) to communicate findings.

· Evaluate model performance, optimize algorithms, and stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to enhance ongoing projects.

Key Attributes & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

· 4-7 years in data science within the Biotech, Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences industries.

· Expert knowledge of datasets, such as Xponent, DDD, Claims Analysis, and Payer data, specifically for USA and European markets.

· Verifiable experience in both supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, with a deep understanding of libraries like TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and Pandas.
  • Strong experience with SQL and cloud-based data processing environments such as AWS (Redshift, Athena, S3), and experience with Jupyter Notebooks/SageMaker.
  • Demonstrated ability to build data visualizations and communicate insights through tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, QuickSight, or similar.

· Strong analytical capabilities, including hypothesis testing and A/B testing. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· A proactive, adaptable mindset with a strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment.
