Join MSBC as a Java QA Automation Engineer – FIX Protocol & Electronic Trading

At MSBC, We are looking for a Java QA Automation Engineer with experience in FIX Protocol and electronic trading systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to validate trading applications, ensuring their reliability, accuracy, and performance.

Key Tools & Technologies:

  • Programming & Automation: Java (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit), Python, Groovy
  • Messaging & Trading Systems: FIX Protocol, OMS, Market Data Feeds
  • API Testing: Postman, RestAssured
  • Test & Defect Management: JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM
  • Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, TeamCity
  • Performance & Load Testing: JMeter, Gatling (or equivalent tools)
  • Cloud Technologies (Good to Have): AWS (EC2, ELB, EKS, AMI)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated test scripts using Java to validate trading platforms and ensure system reliability.
  • Develop and execute FIX-based test cases to verify trade execution, order flow, and messaging accuracy.
  • Perform comprehensive regression and functional testing to ensure seamless integration of new features without disrupting existing functionalities.
  • Validate order management systems (OMS), trade lifecycle, and risk management functionalities to meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct REST API and FIX Protocol testing to ensure system stability, data integrity, and integration between trading components.
  • Simulate high-volume trading scenarios and perform load testing to assess system performance under stress conditions.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and traders to align testing efforts with business needs and improve software quality.
  • Integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker to streamline deployment and software updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Java-based test automation and ability to write test scripts in Python or Groovy.
  • Strong understanding of electronic trading platforms, order execution, risk management, and trade lifecycle validation.
  • Hands-on experience in FIX-based trade execution and order flow validation.
  • Proficiency in REST API testing and ensuring system integration stability.
  • Ability to simulate high-volume trading scenarios and assess system performance under stress conditions.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments and utilizing JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.
  • Practical knowledge of test automation in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, or TeamCity.
  • Financial Domain Knowledge with broking, trading, or banking systems.
  • Cloud & Messaging Exposure to AWS cloud environments and messaging platforms like Kafka, Solace, or RabbitMQ.

Note: Shift timings align with UK working hours. This role is based in Ahmedabad, but candidates from other cities or states are encouraged to apply as remote or hybrid working options are available.
